Dr. Zachary M. Hudson is an Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in Sustainable Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. Zac completed his B.Sc. and Ph.D. in chemistry at Queen’s University, developing luminescent materials for organic electronics. During his Ph.D. he also held graduate fellowships at Jilin University (China) as well as Nagoya University (Japan). He then completed postdoctoral fellowships in polymer science at the University of Bristol (UK) and the University of California, Santa Barbara (USA). He currently leads a research program at UBC developing luminescent materials for optoelectronics, bioimaging, and photocatalysis.
